Emmy Award-winning director Steve Fuller is known for his ability to fuse bold design with cinematic storytelling. With a strong foundation in design and a sharp eye for live-action, he brings a striking visual sensibility and a collaborative approach to every project — guiding ideas from concept to final cut with precision and artistry.
Over the past decade, Steve has helmed campaigns for global brands including The Home Depot, Infiniti, Peloton, Ford, Amazon, Hyundai, Fender, McDonald’s, Xfinity, HBO, Fox, Reebok, Glenmorangie, Verizon, and BMW. His work resonates through its dynamic balance of emotional depth and compelling visuals, often uncovering the quiet complexities of characters in unexpected ways.
Steve’s creative DNA is rooted in his lifelong admiration for master filmmakers like Spielberg, Kubrick, and Scorsese, later shaped by the boundary-pushing work of Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, and Chris Cunningham. His directing style is both cinematic and inventive—grounded in storytelling yet fearless in taking creative risks. He sees filmmaking as a team sport, navigating client vision, production logistics, and artistic integrity with curiosity, clarity, and an unwavering respect for every voice in the room.
Before stepping into commercial directing, Steve made a name for himself in title design, earning an Emmy for AMC’s Mad Men — where he served as Creative Director and Designer — and securing nominations for Showtime’s Nurse Jackie and HBO’s The Pacific. His contributions have also been recognized by The One Club and BDA, solidifying his reputation in both branding and filmmaking.
When he’s not behind the camera, Steve might be chasing curves on his Triumph Scrambler, mastering David Gilmour solos on guitar, playing tennis, or throwing clay on a pottery wheel — always in pursuit of the perfect form.
